Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. A beautiful and smart actress, she's an inspiration for many Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances in some popular series she gained fame after joining the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles that were filmed on the large screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. Then, she gave an her best performance in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime-lord O Ren Ishii. Around the same time she was playing the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason's role on the small screen as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce any results.
