Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, author, philanthropist, television host, and also the proprietor of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she was able to move to England at the age of sixteen and then graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it when she was 21. She was a conservative syndicated writer after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a few years after, she created an online voice platform with a critique of current the political landscape. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna became famous when she made the decision to run independently in the California recall election in order to succeed the Governor Davis. In addition, she was also the leader of a Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient automobiles. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as the most influential women in media gaining 12th place on the list. The same year, the Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. In 2011 AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media group which included many then-existing AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. She was very close with her father. When she was 16years old, she emigrated from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge.
