Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling profession in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film which was her first film role. It took a long time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller character. Amy struggled to make the leap from modeling into acting, as model actors aren't generally considered good actors. They are usually given smaller roles that aren't important. Amy did her best to get noticed and was eventually offered larger roles starting at The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead parts in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy had finally found the recognition that she was seeking for more than a decade. She then continued to appear in several of the most famous movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played an enduring character.
