Summer Glau
Her first TV role was as a guest on ballerina in a 2002 episode of the popular television show Angel. The director who spotted her was JossWhedon, who ultimately picked her to play River Tam in the critically-acclaimed TV series Firefly. The role she also reprised for Serenity's feature film sequel. Glau had previously applied for the Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger alyssa Eile) role in Power Rangers Wild Force, but was defeated by Jessica Rey. She played a minor role in the film Sleepover, in which she played high school senior Shelly. She also appeared in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " Season 2 of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the boyfriend of Jeremy Erhart). Glau was Tess Doerner (a paranoid, Schizophrenic returnee) in season two of The 4400. From season three, she was a recurring role. She was also in the horror comedy film Mammoth. Glau appeared in The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV movie. Glau played Cameron Phillips an infiltration unit of the Terminator returned to Skynet in order to safeguard John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode, "The Demon Hand", included several scenes in which Glau (in character as Cameron) dances in ballet, Glau also played Allison Young (Cameron's human doppelganger) in the second season episodes "Allison from Palmdale" and "Born to Run". Glau was also a guest on the episode The Big Bang Theory, which is a CBS situation comedy.
